Use this guide to ensure your print jobs are held at the printer until you manually release them using a private PIN code.
---
1. Enabling Secure Print in Outlook/Word
When you are ready to print a sensitive document:
1. Open the Print menu (Ctrl + P).
2. Select the Canon IPR 700 (or your primary office printer).
3. Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
4. Look for the Output Method dropdown menu.
5. Change "Print" to Secure Print.
6. A pop-up will appear asking for a PIN. Enter a 4-to-10 digit code that you will remember.
7. Click OK and then Print.
2. Releasing the Job at the Printer
Your document will not print immediately. To get your paper:
1. Walk to the printer.
2. Select Secure Print on the printer’s touch screen.
3. Find your Username in the list.
4. Enter the PIN you created at your computer.
5. Select your job and tap Print.
3. Troubleshooting: "Secure Print" Option Missing?
If you do not see the "Secure Print" option in your printer properties, your driver may be outdated or corrupted.
Follow these steps to fix it:
1. Restart your computer: Often, a fresh reboot will reconnect the latest driver settings from the server.
2. Verify Network: Ensure you are on the INTEGRIS staff Wi-Fi, not the Guest network.
3. Driver Reinstall: If the option is still missing after a restart, submit a ticket to IT. We will need to remote in and perform a clean reinstallation of the Canon IPR 700 drivers, as standard Windows updates can sometimes break this specific feature.
